How to Consign Your Designer Clothing, Shoes, Accessories, and Jewelry at Juniper & Oak
At Juniper & Oak, we’ve designed our consignment process to be comfortable and efficient, ensuring that consignors and shoppers alike enjoy a seamless experience. If you’d like to consign your designer and luxury brand women’s apparel, please review the updated consignment guidelines below.
Consignment Split and Payment
-
Our consignment split is 50/50 (50% to the consignor and 50% to the store) on the net selling price for all items.
-
Payments over $25.00 are issued on the 15th day of the following month after the item is sold. Payments under $25.00 will roll over until a payment of $25.00 or more is accumulated.
-
1.5% of the 3% Credit card processing fees will be charged back to the consignor if the item is purchased via credit card.
-
($1) Consignor access and tagging fee is applied monthly while you have active items with us

-

Under no circumstances will items be reviewed with consignors present.
Preparing Your Items for Consignment
-
All items must be freshly laundered or dry-cleaned.
-
We do not accept items from homes where smoking occurs.
-
Items must be wrinkle-free, freshly pressed, and either hung on hangers (preferably in garment bags) or neatly folded.
-
Black garbage bags will not be accepted for drop-off.
-
Items must be free of stains, odors, discoloration, or noticeable wear (e.g., deodorant stains, holes, unraveling seams).
-
Ensure items are in pristine condition, with no missing buttons, working zippers, and intact hems.
-
Leave price tags on unworn items to increase their potential resale value.
Bringing Your Items to Juniper & Oak
-
Items should be brought in garment bags, dry-cleaning bags, or neatly folded in flat-bottom shopping bags. Plastic totes are also acceptable for larger consignments.
-
All transport materials will be returned to the consignor so long as they are gathered within 7 days of the initial consignor email
-
Items in garbage bags will not be accepted under any circumstances.
During Your Appointment and After
-
During your appointment, we’ll guide you through the consignment process and set you up in our system.
-
Items will be reviewed after drop-off and consignors will receive a detailed list of accepted pieces via email.
-
Items not selected for consignment must be picked up within 7 days or will be donated to our charity sale. Proceeds from these sales go to local charities.
-
It is the consignor’s responsibility to track item expiry dates through our Consignor Access portal. We do not provide phone, email, or other notifications when items expire.
Collecting Payment
-
Consignors receive 50% of the selling price for sold items.
-
Payments are mailed out on or after the 15th of the following month for sales exceeding $25.00.
-
Status of items and account balances can be viewed through the Consignor Access portal for a nominal monthly fee of $1.00.
Unsold Merchandise
-
Items are displayed in our showroom or online for up to 90 days.
- Not all items will be displayed online.
-
After 90 days, unsold items must be picked up within 7 days or will be donated to charity.
Discount Policy
-
Items are priced at their initial value for the first 30 days.
-
After 30 days, prices are reduced by 25%.
-
After 60 days, prices are reduced by an additional 25%, resulting in a total markdown of 50%.
Pricing and Early Pick-Up
-
Our team determines the pricing to ensure items sell quickly while maximizing value. Consignors are encouraged to share purchase details or provenance to aid in pricing. Ultimately it is at the discretion of the store to price the items.
- Discounts may be applied outside of the 30 day and 60 day markdowns if the store runs specialty discounts throughout the year (i.e 20% off your entire purchase)
-
Early item pick-up incurs a 12% storage fee of the item’s net selling price, payable before retrieval. This prevents people using the store as a storage centre
Additional Guidelines
-
The consignor is fully responsible for tracking the expiry dates of their items.
-
Extensions or retrievals must be coordinated proactively through the Consignor Access portal.
-
We are committed to ensuring a smooth process and request consignors adhere to these updated policies for a better partnership experience.
